I am a designer, researcher, and consultant with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of design, innovation, and technology, primarily with start-ups. My background in Interaction Design and Human Factors Engineering informs my approach to solving complex challenges across diverse industries, including health, urban technology, construction, travel, enterprise technology, transport, real estate, and consumer electronics.
I work with organisations to design innovative and highly usable solutions for complex problems while building and mentoring teams to achieve their goals. As an ACS Certified Professional and Senior Member of the Australian Computing Society, I serve on the NSW Branch Executive Committee and am also a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
I am an Industry Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney and an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, where I actively contribute to design education. I have rewritten and developed key design courses, including Interaction Design Studio and Introduction to Interface Design at the University of Sydney, and helped establish Advanced Interaction Design. at UTS. My teaching spans subjects such as Design Process & Methods, Interface Design, and UX Design Studio. I have also contributed to the second edition of Design. Think. Make. Break. Repeat. and published research at national and international venues.
I have worked on multiple Australian Research Council-funded projects, contributing not only as a designer and researcher but also in a commercial management capacity—overseeing budgets, hiring research assistants, and leading project teams.
Outside of work, I enjoy surfing, building things, flying planes, driving cars, and riding motorbikes. I also mentor young designers through IxDA Sydney.
